Waltham Forest Screening: Spirit of 45

Waltham Forest people’s assembly invites you to attend a special screening of “Spirit of ‘45” at the Stratford Picture House on Thursday 26 November

We’re being told by our government that we have to “balance the books”, and that money towards such basic human rights as health-care and education is sparse. Cuts and austerity are, apparently, on the Set Menu.  How come this is the only (unpalatable) option? Well, because that’s what The Powers That Be are telling us.

And if they say so, surely it must be better for us…..

Ken Loaches moving documentary “Spirit of 45” (2012) highlights how the Blitz Spirit that sustained Britain through the war continued to blaze a glorious trail in peace-time which gave rise to a vision of a fairer society.

Waltham Forest People’s Assembly are screening “Spirit of 45" on Thursday 26 November, Stratford Picture House, Stratford  E15 1BX 9 pm – 10.30 pm.

A Q&A session with special guest speakers will follow on directly from 10.30-11pm, where you can take the opportunity to put your questions on the future of our public services to the panel.

Do join us for “The Spirit of 45”. There’s a sliver of this spirit in all of us, and it’s beginning to awaken…..

Book your tickets by 15 November at:https://www.ourscreen.com/screening/40135
