TTIP and our public services - Teesside People's Assembly special meeting

The first hour of our 30 September meeting will focus on TTIP and its implications for our public services, especially the NHS.

The discussion will be introduced by Stephen Thomas – a member of UNISON and a Labour Party councillor in Hartlepool. He strongly believes that the Transatlantic Trade & Investment Partnership trade deal will be a disaster for our NHS and other public services, a disaster for the rights and well being of workers, and ultimately a disaster for democracy and accountable government.

The meeting will be held on Tuesday 30 September at 7.15pm in St Mary’s Centre, 82-90 Corporation Road, Middlesbrough TS1 2RW.

Directions to the venue can be found on Google Maps at
