An early start
5am on October 3rd 2014 saw a group of protesters from the Support Stafford Hospital group travel to University Hospital North Staffs to stage an "occupy" type protest at plans to move further services away from Stafford Hospital.
They were joined on the day by several members of the North Staffordshire People's Assembly Against Austerity who wanted to help them highlight the effect of these "reforms" on health services to local people.
Anyone who is interested in coach travel to the national "Britain Needs a Payrise" demo in London on the 18th October should get in touch as soon as possible.

Also appearing will be Stephen Morrison-Burke, last years Birmingham Poet laureate - he does amazing spoken word performances and will perform a few poems that are relevant to what the PA is about and the impacts of austerity.

A national day of action has been called on the 5th April to mark the anniversary of the implementation of the Bedroom Tax.
Protests have been called up and down the country to call on the government to follow Scotland's lead and scrap the bedroom tax.
