For those of you who weren't able to attend last night's meeting we heard from several teachers and ex-teachers about how their profession is being destroyed by the government's ideological attack on the public sector. Christine Blower, General Secretary of the National Union of Teachers, also spoke about the need for coordinated strike action and how the People's Assembly is uniting the anti-austerity movement. We had a great turnout from Manchester to the London Demo.
A big thank you to the Trade unions and individuals who donated to send two full coaches with free places for un-waged supporters. Many more travelled by train.
