In the Tories’ summer budget George Osborne announced that maintenance grants for students from low-income families will be scrapped from 2016.
This disgraceful move will prevent huge numbers of people from accessing education and burden hundreds of thousands of students with even more debt.
Join us on Monday 5 October outside Tory Party Conference in Manchester to say #KeepTheGrants with a student debt in at 2pm!
This action is part of the People’s Assembly Against Austerity’s national week of action outside Tory Party Conference which is taking place from Saturday 3 – Wednesday 7 October.
