The sun is shining and there are lots of upcoming events to get out and about to!

Local Assembly events

Next organising meeting is on the train to the London demo on June 21st. We're meeting at the station at 11am to catch the 11.19 train. Sign up at the Eventbrite page to let us know you're coming.

Austerity & Us, Sat 31st May 10am - 8pm @ Brighthelm Centre

A community conference on austerity, how we are experiencing it, perceiving it and fighting it. Stalls, speakers and workshops from local and national campaigners and experts. Free entry and cheap lunch provided by the Cowley Club. The day will end with a film screening of Secret City, a film about the City of London, the Corporation that runs it and its role in the economic crisis. Click here for more details

Small Revolutions: 15th June

Come and join us at the last Small Revolutions before a break over the summer - it's in a bigger venue with some bigger bands and even a dance floor!! Join us on facebook.

National Demo + Free Festival, 21st June
Assembly 1pm, BBC HQ, Portland Place (Tube: Oxford Circus) march to Parliament.  Join us on the train from Brighton.

Next assembly event will be focused on housing - Thurs 10th July @ Brighthelm Centre

Living Rent Campaign and the local assembly have got together to put on our next big event. Details on our website.

Education Question Time feedback & new campaign launched!

There was an immense turn out for this successful event   - thanks go to Aidan Pettitt for pulling this altogether, all the speakers and helpers on the night. There has been a local group of the National Campaign for Education launched on the back of this event and a group has started to meet. For more information please contact brightonedqt@gmail.com

Can you help?

There's lots to do with organising events and keeping communications going...if you can lend your skills and any time then do get in contact! For example, we need helpers on stalls at the following events over the summer. If you can do any of these, please email us:
