Britain is Broken - General Election Now!

BBC Portland Place

No matter which way you voted in the original referendum, if you care about ending austerity, if you care about homelessness, if you want to see rail and other privatised utilities taken back into public ownership, then a general election is the only way that this can be done. In short it is driving the Tories from power which is the key question for working people in Britain today.

I agree with the previous comment. Far right demonstrators are wearing yellow vests in front of the Parliament and this is a risk for the people demonstrating on Saturday to be associated with them. I am not sharing this event on social media precisely because of this. I personally don’t want to and I think that there is no need to wear them.

Am I right in saying that the far right racists have high jacked the wearing of yellow vests and yet Peoples Assembly want us to wear yellow vests I for one do not want to be mistaken for a right wing demonstrater

I wear my yellow vest all the time. I’t has “No Cuts” on the back and “Southampton People’s Assembly Against Austerity” across the front. We’ve got a dozen of these in Southampton!

Just driven from Italian border to Clermont Ferand, cross country. In little towns and villages there are messages supporting the Gilet Jaunes. In one small town the government buildings have been sprayed yellow.
But here’s the thing, drivers both young and old are putting their yellow gilets on the dashboards in solidarity. We’ve got ours out as we continue home. Get yours out for people to see now, don’t wait till the 12th!!!

Grey Swans’ pension activist group into Labour’s election Manifesto, finds the Yellow Vests in France’s pension demands to be identical to mine, proving the socialist credentials of Grey Swans wish to gain for Labour and Jeremy Corbyn a majority, closest to 326 elected Labour MPs in hoped for 2nd early election in 2019. Can I speak at the event please, to introduce my activist group? Thank you.
