PCS members working in the National Gallery have voted overwhelmingly for industrial action over plans to hand all visitor services to a private company and are set for five days of strike action.
The strike, due to be held from Tuesday 3 to Saturday 7 February, will cause serious disruption at what is the country's second most popular major attraction.
This comes after PCS briefed MPs in Parliament on Wednesday about the plans which could see 400 of the gallery’s 600 staff face privatisation.
We are also campaigning for the London living wage after gallery bosses reneged on a promise to pay it last year.
