Russell Brand, Comedian

russell-brand.jpg"The People's Assembly will bring down any government that doesn't end austerity. Austerity means keeping all the money among people who have loads of it. This is the biggest problem we face today, all other problems radiate from this toxic swindle.
We can organise a fairer, more just society than they can, these demonstrations are the start, it will be a right laugh."

I missed an opportunity to be there on a demonstration, but if to speak of austerity, don’t you think that austerity is an answer to economic downturn? Whenever government saves the economy, governors begin to think of raising taxes without hurting the recovery and they fail. Thus, people always suffer unlike politicians who always find a way out. I cannot make it there, but my support is absolute. Austerity is a word devised by the rich to destroy the poor, the sick the unemployed and the low paid.

They find the money for pomp and ceremony, and for wars and for their perks using OUR MONEY in the process, yet they say the poor have to learn to ‘live within their means’! Well, NO MORE!
