"...despite the signs of recovery this crisis is not over. Austerity is stretching ahead as far as we can see. The costs of the banking crisis are still being borne mainly by working people and by the public services on which we all rely.
Governments are going to need greater resources not fewer to do all the things expected of them, and meet the challenges of an increasingly uncertain future. Creating new forms of solidarity and public action are essential to bring about the change of direction which is urgently needed."
