Saturday 21 January / 12 midday / Market Square, Cambridge CB2
Our friends in Cambridge Stand Up to Racism have called a rally in celebration of our diverse and multicultural city for Saturday, the day after Donald Trump's inauguration as president of the USA.
There'll be speeches, music, and a wall to tear down, standing for the one Trump has promised on the US border with Mexico (if not for his politics in general). Trump openly attacked Mexican immigrants, and urged suspicion of American and immigrant Muslims, during his inflammatory election campaign.
The Cambridge People's Assembly supports the rally and says, immigrants and refugees welcome! Yes to diversity! No to racist harassment and violence! No to the politics of Trump!
