Saturday 30 May / 12 for 12.30 p.m. / Market Square, Cambridge CB2
To build for the End Austerity Now demonstration in London on 20 June, we're demonstrating with numerous other groups in Cambridge this Saturday!
We'll meet in Market Square from 12 midday, before things start at 12.30. Before and after the march we'll hear speakers on education, libraries, housing, the NHS, mental health and disabilities, zero-hours contracts, and the scapegoating of immigrants. Other speakers will represent community, political, and student organizations. The march itself will be a short one, towards the Round Church and back down Trinity Street to Market Square. Please join us, with placards if you can!
Community and political organizations participating include Cambridge and District Trades Council, Cambridge Communist Party, Cambridge Disabled People Against Cuts, Cambridge Green Party, Cambridge Left Unity, Cambridge Love Music Hate Racism, Cambridge Keep Our NHS Public, Cambridge People's Assembly, Greece Solidarity Campaign Cambridge, Hands Off Hinchingbrooke, Huntingdonshire Trades Council, Syriza Cambridge, Trades Unions at the Universities, and Wisbech Trades Council.
Student organizations participating are the Cambridge Marxist Society (comprising the Marxist Discussion Group at the University of Cambridge and the Anglia Ruskin Marxists), Cambridge Universities Labour Club, and Cambridge Young Greens.
Our thanks to everyone who has joined in organizing this demonstration. Diverse efforts have centred on this group, the Cambridge and District Trades Council, and the student Cambridge Marxist Society.
