Wednesday 6 April / 11 a.m. / Addenbrooke's Hospital, Hills Road, Cambridge CB2
The junior doctors of the British Medical Association will strike again today to fight the government's imposition of its unsafe, unfair new contract. For 48 hours from 8 a.m. the doctors will provide emergency care only. We'd urge anyone who can to visit their picket at Addenbrooke's Hospital from that time, and to join their strike rally at 11 a.m. at the Hills Road car park.
The doctors will be in Market Square from 1 p.m. to meet more residents and patients, joined by psychiatrists from Fulbourn Hospital who will offer mental health education – and by teachers campaigning against the government's new policy of forcing all schools to convert to academies, who join them 'in solidarity and mutual civic duty'!
The doctors have also organized a children's first aid event for parents, grandparents, and other carers (60 have already signed up) at 2 p.m. at the Wesley Church on Christ's Pieces.
