Tuesday 17 May / 7.30 p.m. / Cambridge Corn Exchange, Wheeler Street, Cambridge CB2 3QE
The struggle against austerity was greatly reinforced last year by the arrival of the Labour Party under its new leader Jeremy Corbyn, elected by an overwhelming majority of members and supporters. Now the #JC4PM tour has been organized 'to show support for Jeremy's campaign to transform the way politics is conducted', and for the 'politics of hope' he represents.
In Cambridge the comedians Jeremy Hardy, Hal Cruttenden, Robin Ince, and Francesca Martinez, the poet Clare Ferguson-Walker, and the singer and songwriter Grace Petrie will perform, with the comedian Arthur Smith as compère (book tickets through the Corn Exchange website).
Although the Cambridge People's Assembly doesn't endorse any political party, we're keen to work with members of Labour and the Momentum network on the causes we share, and will have a stall at the show.
