One Day Without Us

The One Day Without Us immigrant solidarity campaign will hold a rally with speakers in Market Square this weekend, supported by the UNISON trade union and the Global Justice Cambridge, Cambridge Stays, Amnesty International Cambridge City, and Cambridgeshire Hope Not Hate campaigns. Its message is 'Proud to be a migrant, proud to stand with migrants'.

Protest the county cuts

The Conservative-controlled County Council will approve an unexpectedly sharp £35m of cuts for 2018/19 in its meeting on Tuesday 6 February, even as it finally accepts the necessity to raise council tax (alongside the social care precept) to spare people in Cambridgeshire from still worse cuts to the services on which they rely.

Cambridge meets to travel to NHS in Crisis
