Greater Manchester CND is hosting a public meeting: Avoiding Apocalypse - Alternatives to a war-based foreign policy

With unstable leaders in both the US and North Korea, the Tories spending billions on a new generation of nuclear weapons and conflict raging across the Middle East, the global situation is looking bleak.

We've brought together a range of speakers to discuss better ways forward and alternatives to war, including:

- Dr Jenny Clegg, an expert on North East Asia and active member of Labour CND, will talk about North Korea, US militarisation in the Pacific and nuclear weapons.
- Ann Feltham, Parliamentary Officer at Campaign Against the Arms Trade (CAAT), will talk about the UK arms trade, Saudi Arabia and arms conversion / defence diversification policies.

The session will be chaired by Dr Kate Hudson, General Secretary of the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament (CND).

Please join for what should be a lively discussion.
