Accessibility information

Castlefield Bowl sits at the bottom of a natural gentle slope to the west of Deansgate. The ground area of the Bowl has some smooth paving but is mostly new cobbles (yellow area), which while not ideal are fairly uniform. Stewards should give priority to wheelchair users on the pavement.

Wheelchair access to the main arena:
Red Route: (Duke St. > Rice St.) Best path to access Castlefield bowl ground area. Slopes downward towards the bowl.

Green Route: (Liverpool Rd ramp at Sapporo Teppanyaki) Best access from Liverpool Road, via ramp that leads down to bowl ground area.

Blue Route: (Duke St. > Castle St.) This is the access to the top terrace which gives a good view of the bowl below and runs the entire length of the back of the bowl. However the road to this smooth paved ramp has old cobbles so stick to the pavement.

Purple area will be reserved for disabled attendees at front of stage with direct line of sight to BSL interpreter.

There will be three stages but no video screens, bands and amplified sound will be used and it is open air, so ear defenders & sunglasses would be advised for sensory comfort.

Hi thanks for this. Ensuring stewards will navigate us t towards these access areas will help a lot as it’s easy to get blocked out in a packed area
